Algiers, October 9, 2025 – The Ambassador of the Argentine Republic to Algeria, Atilio Berardi, visited the fourth edition of BEVALG 2025, the most important specialized event in Africa dedicated to the liquid food and beverage sector. The Argentine Embassy's participation in this trade exposition allowed the identification of concrete business opportunities for national companies in the Algerian and African markets.
BEVALG has established itself as the exclusive African fair in the sector, characterized by its focus on quality, diversification, and technological innovation. During the event, the Argentine delegation identified specific opportunities in several strategic sectors, including industrial flavors and aromas, juice concentrates, powdered milk and dairy products, as well as packaging equipment and solutions.
 

Opportunities in trade
A particular interest was observed on the part of Algerian importers in high-value semi-finished products. The identified business model includes technical visits to the countries of origin to ensure quality standards before signing contracts, which represents a competitive advantage for Argentine companies with international certifications and excellent production processes.

Trade Promotion Strategy

As part of the work plan with the food and beverage sector, the Argentine Embassy will facilitate specific trade contacts and explore avenues for the country's more significant participation in future editions of BEVALG. This strategy includes evaluating institutional stands, organizing specialized trade delegations, and delivering technical presentations that showcase the capabilities and quality of Argentine products.

Participation in BEVALG 2025 strengthens Argentina's commercial presence in the food and beverage sector in the Algerian market, consolidating Argentina as a reliable supplier of high-value-added products and technology for the food industry throughout Africa.
