Beginning of duties Ambassador Atilio BERARDI

The Argentine Embassy to the People's Democratic Republic of Algeria informs of the arrival to Algiers of the new Ambassador of the Argentine Republic, Atilio Berardi.

After assuming his duties in the offices of this headquarters on June 2, the designated ambassador held his first working meeting with the officials of the Argentine Embassy.

In the coming days, the ceremony for the presentation of the Copies of Credential Letters that will formally accredit him as Ambassador of the Argentine Republic in Algeria is planned, an event that will formally signal the beginning of his official activity.

Berardi arrives in Algiers after having been head of a diplomatic mission on two previous occasions: recently in Brussels as Ambassador to the European Union, and previously, in the United States of America, where he was Consul General in the city of Chicago and the Midwest . Among other relevant positions, it is worth mentioning that he was Head of Diplomatic Coordination of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and Chief of Staff at the Secretariat of International Economic Relations.

Ambassador Atilio Berardi is a career diplomat who graduated from the Foreign Service Institute with a Gold Medal (first position in his class at the diplomatic academy).
