Argentina Strengthens Agribusiness Presence at Africa's Main Agricultural Fair

Algiers, May 27, 2025 – The Ambassador of the Argentine Republic, Atilio Berardi, along with the Embassy's commercial team, actively participated in the International Agricultural and Agribusiness Fair (SIPSA-FILAHA), the most important event in the agricultural sector in Africa, which brings together more than 800 exhibitors from over 40 countries.
During the fair, Ambassador Berardi held working meetings with the event's main organizers, including Dr. Amine Bensemmane (President), Mohamed Hadj Henni (Vice President), and Katia Yata (General Coordinator), with the goal of strengthening Argentina's presence in African agricultural markets.

Cooperation Opportunities 
The discussions identified areas for bilateral collaboration, including:

  • Development of agricultural technology and food innovation: Transfer of Argentine knowledge and technology in precision agriculture and food processing
  • Export Expansion: Increased shipments of Argentine grains, dairy products, and agricultural machinery
  • Strengthening Trade: Establishing strategic alliances with growing African markets

SIPSA-FILAHA 2025 Profile
The fair consolidates its position as a key platform for the sector by including more than 800 international exhibitors with a focus on sustainable agriculture, aquaculture, and agroindustrial development. It is also worth noting that Italy was the guest of honor at this edition, consolidating its position as a privileged space for doing business and accelerating technology transfer for Algeria's thriving agricultural development.
