Oran, April 27, 2025 – The Argentine Embassy in Algeria, represented by Ambassador Atilio Berardi, held a working meeting with executives of the Oran Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the leading business institution in western Algeria.
The meeting was attended by the Chamber's Secretary General, Ahmed Larvi, and the Head of International Cooperation, Fadela Kassous. The meeting aimed to identify investment and bilateral cooperation opportunities in strategic sectors for both economies.

Sectors of Priority Interest
During the meeting, four areas with particular potential for the development of joint projects were identified:
-Agri-food industry: development of food processing and marketing projects.
-Auto parts and components: manufacturing of parts and components for the regional automotive industry.
-Services for the oil industry: Provision of specialized goods and services for the energy sector.
-Pharmaceutical Industry: Cooperation in drug production and laboratory development.

As a result of the meeting, a work agenda was established, including the upcoming organization of a trade mission of Argentine companies to the Oran region. Argentine participation in international fairs scheduled in this Algerian city was also discussed. Furthermore, it was agreed to advance the development of a business exchange program to facilitate trade contacts between companies from both countries.

The Argentine Embassy emphasized that this meeting represents a significant step forward in the trade diversification strategy with Algeria, noting that the Oran region offers concrete opportunities for Argentine companies in sectors where the country has extensive experience and export capacity.

The Oran Chamber of Commerce and Industry, founded in 1886, is one of the oldest and most influential business institutions in Algeria, representing the interests of the main economic center in the western part of the country.
