Ambassador Atilio Berardi Meets with Business Leaders in Constantine

Constantine, November 18, 2025 – The Ambassador of the Argentine Republic to Algeria, Atilio Berardi, accompanied by officials from the Embassy's commercial section, held a working meeting with the Constantine Chamber of Commerce and Industry. The meeting brought together its top officials and a significant number of business leaders from eastern Algeria.

During the meeting, Algerian officials highlighted Constantine's leadership in key sectors such as the pharmaceutical, agricultural, and mechanical industries. A concrete business model was presented for partnerships with Argentine companies through a subcontracting system, with the aim of subsequently re-exporting the finished products to regional markets in the Maghreb, Africa, and Europe.

Business Visit Agenda

As part of the trade mission, visits were made to large-scale production facilities, beginning with Union Pharmaceutique Constantinoise (UPC), a company specializing in solid dosage forms that maintains commercial relationships with Argentine partners and expressed interest in receiving updated information on the Argentine pharmaceutical sector's export offerings.

Subsequently, the delegation visited Grands Muolins Kenza, where the potential for these ventures was confirmed, and interest was expressed in learning about Argentine developments in wheat and pasta production equipment.

The mission provided a unique opportunity to connect with the business sector in eastern Algeria, promote Argentine exports, and present the investment opportunities that Argentina offers to businesspeople in this important region of Algeria.
